Almond(y) French Toast

Ingredients:

3 eggs

1/2c Whole Milk

1t Almond Extract

1t Ground Cinnamon

1/2t Ground Nutmeg

1T Sugar

1T Brown Sugar

3T Butter

6 Slices Bread (Brioche, Challah, etc.)


Toasted Almonds

Maple Syrup

Powdered Sugar


Directions:

1. Whisk together eggs, milk, almond extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and both sugars in large, shallow bowl

2. Melt butter over medium heat in large skillet

3. Dip each slice in egg mixture, shaking off any excess

4. Fry each slice of bread 1-2 minutes, until golden brown. Then flip and fry the other side

5. Serve with toppings of your choice, butter, toasted almonds, maple syrup, or powdered sugar


Makes approximately 2 servings
